KCB Rugby have included Kenya Simbas trio in the squad that will be seeking to defend the Kakamega 7s title as they compete in the tournament scheduled for the Bull Ring on Saturday and Sunday.

Martin Owillah, Jacob Ojee, and Samuel Asati have been named in the squad after missing the opening five legs following commitments with Kenya Simbas in South Africa and France during the Rugby Africa Cup held in Marseille.  They join the squad that has Peter Kilonzo who missed the trip to France, Geoffrey Okwatch, Peter Waitere and Arthur Owira are also on board for the Kakamega 7s trip.

Andrew Amonde, Elphas Adunga, Mike Kimwele, Brian Wahinya, and Michael Wanjala have retained their places in the team.  KCB Rugby who are second on the standings with 90 points are hoping to retain the title they won in 2019.

This weekend they are in pool D alongside Kabras RFC, Impala Saracens, and Daystar Falcons.

KCB won the Kakamega 7s title defeating Homeboyz 21-12 at the Bull Ring. Vincent Onyala landed a brace of tries while Isaac Njoroge managed a try before another new signing Johnstone Olindi converted twice to spur the bankers to victory.
