Kabras RFC are through to their seventh consecutive Kenya Cup final after seeing off Strathmore Leos 29-9 at Kakamega Showground to qualify for the 2021/22 Final.

The Sugarmen will face Menengai Oilers who shocked KCB Rugby to reach the first ever final.

Kabras settled into the game quickly, scoring two quick converted tries in the opening fifteen minutes through Barry Robinson and skipper of the day Teddy Akala. Ntabeni Dukisa was overseeing kicking duties to go 14-0 up.

Strathmore who had found their foot into the game close to the half hour mark responded with two penalties through Kenya Under-20 Andrew Matoka to take the scores to 14-6.

Matoka and Dukisa would later miss penalties in the dying minutes of the first half, sending the game to a 14-6 score into the break.

The start of the second half saw Kabras head coach Jerome Muller bring in the big guns, Brian Tanga, George Nyambua and Jone Kubu coming on into the field.

The change brought immediate effect, the substitutes working on to add Kabras third try of the game through Jone Kubu, minutes after his introduction. Dukisa missed the extras to take the scores to 19-6.

Strathmore responded again through a penalty minutes later by Andrew Matoka, the scores now 19-9.

Kabras were at it again in the dying minutes of the game, adding extra 10 points to their score through a Brian Tanga try and a penalty from Jone Kubu to stretch the game to 29-9.
