Uganda Lady Cranes have named their matchday squad for the 2026 Rugby Africa Women’s Cup clash against Kenya Lionesses, with captain Angella Nanyonjo set to lead the side in a highly anticipated East African encounter.
In the forwards, Doreen Sijali, Fazirah Namukwaya, and Doreen Mbabazi form the front row, supported by Leona Acen and Proscovia Mukyala in the second row.
The back row features Cabrine Kirabo and Suzan Adong, with Nanyonjo anchoring the pack from number eight.
The halfback pairing of Juliet Nandawula and Bushira Namutebi will be key in dictating tempo, while Christine Akello, Peace Lekuru and Grace Nabaggala provide attacking options in midfield and out wide. Unity Namulala earns a starting berth among the backs, with Mastula Nambozo completing the lineup at fullback.
Uganda have also shown faith in youth and depth, handing opportunities to several uncapped players.
Unity Namulala features in the starting XV, while Justine Angucia, Getrude Kateesa and Shaine Josephine B are among the debutants named among the replacements.
The bench also includes Yvonne Najuuma, Phoebe Nakalembe, Christine Kokoi, Hellen Acanit and Phiona Nantongo, offering cover across all key positions.
