Kenya Lionesses have named their squad for the opening clash against Uganda Lady Cranes in the 2026 Rugby Africa Women’s Cup with a blend of experienced internationals and exciting new talent earning spots in the matchday squad.
Captain Natasha Emali will lead the side from the front row alongside Jane Chanya and Knight Otuoma as Kenya looks to begin the continental campaign strongly.
Naomi Jelagat and Phoebe Otieno take charge in the second row while the loose trio features Nelly Chikombe, debutant Marvel Oswago and Naomi Amuguni.
At halfback, Sinaida Mokaya partners vice-captain Maureen Muritu, with Stella Wafula and Faith Livoi forming the midfield combination.
Janet Okello and debutant Tracy Montex start on the wings while Freshia Oduor slots in at fullback.
The bench also features several debutants including Jascenta Musakali, Charity Nillah, Maria Goretti and Angel Salamba as the technical bench continues to build depth within the national side.
Kenya will be hoping to use home advantage and the experience within the squad to overcome regional rivals Uganda in what promises to be a thrilling East African derby.
