Kenya 7s’ struggles at the Vancouver Sevens continued as they fell 28-10 to Great Britain in a thrilling match at BC Place Stadium.
Having already lost to Argentina and France in their opening two matches, Shujaa hoped to end their losing streak in this encounter.
Kenya 7s opener
A long pass from Tony Omondi found Floyd Wabwire, who dashed to the corner to score, sparking cheers from Kenyan fans at the Kenya corner.
Two minutes later, Luke Mehson outpaced Wabwire on the right wing to score, with Will Homer converting for a 7-5 Great Britain lead.
In the fifth minute, Homer added a try of his own, despite Kevin Wekesa’s efforts to tap his feet. Homer converted his try, extending the lead to 14-5.
In the second half, subsitute Jone Kubu set up Wabwire, who showed impressive pace on the left wing to score, reducing the deficit to 14-10.
However, handling errors cost Kenya further opportunities, and Great Britain took control.

In the 12th minute, Harry Glover scored, followed by a Charlton Kerr try two minutes later.
Both tries were converted by Freddie Roddick, extending the British lead to 28-10, which ultimately sealed the victory.
