MMUST RFC Head Coach John Asila has largely retained the core of his squad for the second leg of the SportPesa National Sevens Circuit, naming a 13-man travelling team for the upcoming Dala 7s.
The biggest change sees Emmanuel Sakwa drafted into the squad to replace Rayan Makaka, who has been ruled out after picking up an injury during the Prinsloo 7s. Sakwa will be expected to strengthen the varsity side as they look to build on their second-leg performance.
On the other hand, Moses Bulemi comes in for Victor Shikuku, while Darius Kipsang replaces Rooney Kelly, adding fresh energy to the squad ahead of the Kisumu showpiece.
Coach Asila has kept faith with the majority of the players who impressed in the opening leg of the campaign. Bevon Okoth, Tyson Juma, Flavian Otiyo, Alwine Kwemoi, Clarence Hope, Desmond Kirwa, and Donald Litali all delivered standout performances at Prinsloo 7s, earning another opportunity to represent the university.

The Dala 7s will also mark a special milestone for Darius, who is set to make his competitive debut for the MMUST Rugby team. The youngster will be hoping to make an immediate impact as the varsity side targets a strong finish in the second leg of the circuit.
