Hosts Kenya Lionesses and defending champions South Africa will be aiming to maintain their winning momentum in Rugby Africa Women’s Cup Performance Division as Uganda and Madagascar fight to revive their campaigns in Match Day Two action at RFUEA Grounds.

The day will kick off with defending champions South Africa Women taking on Uganda Lady Cranes at 2:00 pm East African Time.

South Africa arrive as overwhelming favorites after dismantling Madagascar 64-5 in a ruthless opening display that sent a strong warning to the rest of the competition.

The Springbok Women currently sit top of the standings with five points and an impressive points difference of +59, making them the team to beat heading into Wednesday’s clash.

For the Uganda Lady Cranes, the fixture presents an opportunity for redemption after suffering a difficult 43-10 defeat to the Kenya Lionesses in their first outing.

Another loss would leave Uganda facing enormous pressure ahead of the final round, making Wednesday’s encounter a must-win battle for the East Africans.

The second fixture of the day will see hosts Kenya Lionesses face Madagascar at 4:00 pm East African Time  in what is expected to attract strong home support at the RFUEA Grounds.

Kenya made a statement during the opening round with a commanding victory over Uganda, showcasing attacking brilliance and defensive discipline to move second on the standings with a healthy points difference of +33.

Madagascar, however, will enter the contest desperate for a response after their heavy defeat to South Africa left them bottom of the table.

With the threat of relegation hanging over the lowest-ranked side at the end of the competition, the Malagasy side will be fighting to keep their hopes alive in Nairobi.
