KCB Rugby hand Churchill Otieno, Osumba starts against Daystars Falcons

KCB Rugby Club have named a strong matchday squad ahead of their Kenya Cup clash against Daystar Falcons as the bankers continue their push in the league campaig at Athi River on Saturday.

Nick Okullo anchors the front row at loosehead prop, with Wilfred Waswa starting at hooker and Wilhite Mususi completing the front row at tighthead. The second row pairing features John Aswani and Andycole Omollo who will be tasked with providing stability in the lineouts and physical presence around the park.

In the back row, Churchill Otieno earns first start on the blindside flank, Elvis Olukusi slots in on the openside while Sheldon Kahi takes up the number eight role to complete the forward pack.

Emmanuel Opondo will direct play from scrum-half with Stephen Osumba partnering him at fly-half in the halfback combination expected to control territory and attacking shape.

EDITOR’S PICKS:

Out wide, Mike Kimwelee and Eugene Omondi take up the wing positions, while captain Bob Muhati starts at inside centre alongside Richel Wangila in the midfield. Isaac Njoroge completes the lineup at fullback.

On the bench, KCB have named James Ochieng, Patrick Ouko, Eric Miheso, Clyde Kimaya, Winston Macharia, Jenkins Kipruto, Tyson Maina and Brain Wahinya as impact options.
