The 2025/26 Mwamba Cup quarterfinals delivered a mix of drama and administrative decisions as four teams secured their places in the semifinals following Saturday’s fixtures.
AP Warriors edged Sigalagala NP 16–15 in the closest contest of the round. The one-point victory came after a tense and physical battle that went down to the final whistle.
Kenya Prisons also impressed on the day, seeing off USIU Martials 37–19. The warders combined power and pace to pull clear in the second half and seal a deserved win.

Elsewhere, JKUAT Cougars and Mombasa RFC progressed via walkovers after Western Bulls and Kisii RFC respectively failed to honour their fixtures.
With the quarterfinal stage now complete, AP Warriors, Kenya Prisons, JKUAT Cougars and Mombasa RFC move on to the semifinals, where the race for the 2025/26 Mwamba Cup title continues.
