All the two Kabras RFC Eric Shirley Shield squads picked with one side winning 78-3 against Kisumu and the other picking a 22-7 win over MMUST II as the season commenced.
Gibson Perez opened the scoring for Kabras with the first try of the game, and Erick Cantona slotted in the conversion for a 7-0 lead.

Cantona then joined the score sheet with a well-worked backline try and converted his own effort to stretch the advantage.
Minutes later, Perez completed his brace, and Cantona drilled in another conversion from a tight angle to make it 21-0.
Kabras extended the gap further when Brian Mutua powered over, with Cantona once again on target.
Michael Okello added the final try of the first half, and Cantona maintained his perfect kicking record for a commanding 35-0 lead.
Kisumu responded with a penalty to narrow the deficit to 32 points.

In the second half, Victor Otieno dived in at the corner, and Cantona added the extras as Kabras broke into the 40s.
Patrick Kluivert and Biden Hayo also crossed the whitewash, both tries converted by Cantona.
Otieno and Kluivert later notched their second tries of the day, with Cantona adding another conversion.
Cantona then added a try of his own before Jacton sealed the scoring for Kabras.
Earlier on, Kabras third squad, featuring most of their teen players defeated MMUST 2 by 22-7.
Tries from James Olela, making his return after a long-term injury, Branton Lilumbi, Job Wetangula, and Adrian Wesa were enough for the young stars to wrap up the victory.
