Kenya U18 head coach Paul Odera is impressed by the quality of rugby balls produced by AS Sports Africa.
The Kenya U18 team received 50 balls from AS Sports, donated by Ingredion. The balls will be used during the U18 trials and festival.
AS Sports Africa quality
The U18 National program, led by Odera, will serve as a feeder for the U20 team. Odera praised the balls for their excellent flight and grip, enhancing passing and kicking.
“This is my first time handling an AS Sports Africa rugby ball. I am pleasantly surprised by the quality. First, I tried it as a kicker and I can say the weight of it and how it lands is quite comfortable.

“I enjoyed passing as a player and when I have been passing it, the flight and grip are really incredible. I am really pleased that Kenyan businesses are producing quality like this and I think AS Sports are on the right track in producing rugby equipment,” Odera stated after the donations.
The Kenya U18 regional squads have already been named ahead of the festivals.
