Over on the Cheetahs side, Menengai Oilers forwards coach Lawrence Buyachi takes the reins, with Simon Wariuki assisting him.

The Lions will be under the guidance of KCB Rugby legend Oliver Mang’eni, with Kenyatta University’s Bernard Kibet as his deputy.

A notable figure in the lineup is Paul Murunga, a former champion player with both the Buffaloes in 2005 and the Lions in 2008, who now steps into a coaching role for the record champions, Rhinos. Assisting Murunga is Callum Oliver.

The tournament is scheduled to unfold over four Saturdays in May 2024, with matches alternating between Nairobi, Nakuru, and Kakamega. Alongside the men’s teams—Buffaloes, Cheetahs, Lions, and Rhinos—two women’s teams will also compete.

In the men’s division, teams will engage in a round-robin format across the first three match days, hosted at various venues. Following this phase, the top two teams will advance to the final showdown, promising a thrilling conclusion to the tournament.
