Kenya Cup defending champions, Kabras RFC, emerged victorious with a resounding score of 78-0 over Catholic Monks in the third round match held at Kakamega Showground.
Kabras headed to this clash after two massive wins . They took an early lead through Jeanson Misoga’s try which was not converted.
Lamec Ambetsa from Kabras pierced through Monks’ defense and dived over to make the second try, which was converted by Dukisa to turn the scores to 12-0.
The attacking play was equally impressive, enabling them to add another try through Ambetsa but this time around, Dukisa’s kick went far and wide, adding only five points to the previous scores. It was Ambetsa’s fourth try of the season in three appearances.
Captain of the day Sifuna Eugene scored a try for Kabras, which was successfully converted by Dukisa to widen the scores to 24-0 before fly half sneaked through the Monks’ defense for the final try of the first half, which was converted by Dukisa, sending the two teams to the break by 31-0.
In the second half of the exciting game, Kabras got a penalty to maintain their domination before they scored another try through David Bunduki, which was converted by Dukisa to widen the deficit to 45-0.

Derrick Ashiundu scored his first try, which was converted by Dukisa, and immediately added another try, which was not converted. His try stretched his tally to six this season.
Shitambasi went over the whitewash in typical hooker fashion, and the incredible Dukisa added the extras.
The Kabras’ players worked seamlessly to add a converted try through the inside centre Walter Okoth, turning the scoreboard to 71-0.
In the last minute, William Mwanji ensured the he sent of the teams to the dressing room by a final score of 78-0.
