Kenya Lionesses quintet impress in Rugby 10s

Kenya Lionesses quintet of winger Sharon Auma, Christabel Lindo, Judith Okumu, Stella Wafula and Grace Okulu continued to make waves in the Rugby 10s Championship in South Africa, representing Serengeti Elephants.

On Saturday, Serengeti Elephants emerged victors over Capetown wild dogs with a convincing scoreline of 19-07.

On Wednesday the Kenyan ladies were at it again showcasing their exceptional prowess as they secured victories in all their games beating Rhinos 19-05. The second game proved to be an even more emphatic victory as Serengeti Elephants ran riot over W.P Rugby 48-0.

Judith Okumu, Stella Wafula, and Cristabel Lindo were on targets for Elephants in all their matches with each touching down once.

The 2023 Rugby Tens Championship is a professional series-format competition for both men and women and amateur for boys and girls that showcases equal opportunities at every level.

Serengeti Elephants now advance to the semifinals, and the Lionesses quintet now find themselves on the brink of potential Championship glory with Saturday, November 25th set as the ultimate showdown at the Franchise Cup Final with the winner set to claim the coveted title and seize the R340,000 prize money.
