South Coast Pirates Head Coach Kevin Amiani has effected seven changes in his travelling party that is set to travel to Kisumu to take on Kisumu RFC in a KRU championship match day two set for Saturday 3nd December at Kisumu polytechnic.
With both teams coming from wins, the duel is expected to be tough. Kisumu RFC edged Shamas Foundation 15-11 away in Nairobi last week while Pirates schooled USIU 32-24 at Seacrest Grounds.
The first change sees Dominic Atira making his first season appearance at number one, he will partner Joseph Karioki and who started off the bench last weekend and Evans Mwakio who also is on his first game of the season as number two and three respectively.
Elias Gitonga retains his number four shirt, and he is joined by Richard Amaye at position five.
Ken Cheti replaces injured Cliphod Odhiambo, Cheti will be joined by Skipper Charles Okwemba at number 7, Collins Kabayo will start at eighth man.
In the game control position, Pirates welcomes instrumental fly half Peter Ghati who will partner Halfback Ali Rashid in leading the team.
The last changes sees Ken Omaset promoted to the starting team and will be at position 11, Joseph Musyoki, Devin Abuga, speedster Steven Bosire and Bakari Hassan retain the jerseys as 12,13,14 and 15 respectively.
The bench has Kenya Chipu’s Idd Ganguma, John Carlos, Adnan Juma and Emmanuel Mwinamo.
The last time Pirates won against Kisumu RFC was during the 2019/2020 season beating them 25-18 at St Joseph grounds, Ukunda.
The last encounter between the two sides saw Kisumu RFC staging a comeback to upset pirates 28-24 at Maseno University grounds.
The match kicks off at 4pm.
