Kenya Cup champions Kabras RFC have confirmed their squad that will face promoted Catholic Monks in a 4:00 PM kick off match scheduled for Kakamega Showground.

Head Coach Carlos Katywa has called in Kenya Under 20 ace Mathias Osimbo for his maiden Kenya Cup start.  He has been paired together with Habil Malik in the midfield.

Kabras backline

Barry Robinson will start at scrum-half with Valerian Tendwa set to start at fly-half.  South African Import Ntabeni Dukisa has dropped back to start at full back meaning there is no place for David Williams who played in the slot in the preseason campaign.

Dukisa will have  Alfred Orege and Paul Abuto providing cover on the wings.

In the pack, the coach has gone for a partnership he used in the preseason for the front row and second row. This sees, Hillary Mwanjilwa, Geoffrey Shitambasi and Asuman Mugerwa start together and they are joined in the tight five by Shem Angugo and Hillary Odhiambo,

Kenya under 20 captain John Baraka, Patrick Lumumba and Jeanson Musoga form the back row.

Fortune Arturo, Arwings Owino, Jactone Osoo and Duncan Abuyeka are set to make his first Kenya Cup appearance for Kabras off the bench.

Eight players who played for Kenya Simbas at the Final qualification Tournament have been left out of this squad.

Kabras will be keen to start off impressively as they seek to defend the title they won last season.
