Kenya 7s struggled to match New Zealand in the Hong Kong 7s ninth-place quarters losing 43-0 in a match played at Hong Kong Stadium.
Damian McGrath’s charges had a bad day on one and two, losing all their group-stage matches and this loss extends their losing streak to four matches in a row this weekend.
All Blacks sevens also had a bad run, failing to qualify for the Cup quarters.
Starts for Ooro, Abukuse
Kenya handed newbies George Ooro and Dennis Abukuse a start in the first half and New Zealand dominated all through scoring four tries.
Dylan Collier raced on for the first try after two minutes of play and doubled the lead when he brilliantly dived over at the left corner for the second try.
The All Blacks earned the third try after once again sucking in Kenyan defence and the ball was released to the left side with Collier racing past Bush Mwale to score a try.
The black shirts continued to frustrate Kenya and their patient build-up saw them grab another try in the sixth minute for a 24-0 halftime lead.
The second half was not different for Kenya despite the introduction of Willy Ambaka, Kevin Wekesa, Daniel Taabu and Vincent Onyala.
New Zealand continued to enjoy long spells of possession and more tries by Sam Dickson, Sione Molia and Kurt Baker saw them win by 43 points.
Kenya will play the 13th place semis at 8:15.
