Mwamba Team Manager Stephanie dies in a car crash

Mwamba Rugby Club are mourning the death of team Manager Stephanie Rose Otieno who died on Monday morning in Nakuru County.

The Nairobi-based Club revealed through a statement that the Team Manager died following a car crash in Nakuru, a county that hosted the Prinsloo 7s tournament.

“It’s with shock and horror that we are saddened to inform you of the passing away of our Team Manager, Stephanie-Rose Otieno in a car crash in Nakuru early this morning. More information to follow,” reads a statement by Mwamba.

Stephanie has been part of the Mwamba’s technical bench since 2019 after landing an appointment when the club made changes following to the technical bench following the exit of long-serving Director of Rugby Edwin Waita.

The changes saw Tito Oduk named Director of Rugby while Fahad Adil Mohammed was appointed to the club’s overall team manager assisted by Alphonce Mwachia who was to be the Logistics Manager and Stephanie-Rose was appointed to double as  Mwamba Ladies and men’s Team Manager.
