Immediate former Kenya Harlequins winger Daudi Semwami has been signed by Ugandan side Kobs ahead for the 2019/20 Ugandan Premiership Season.

The winger was released by Kenya Harlequins who are reported to be having financial constraints. His transfer was confirmed by Uganda Rugby Union’s official portal.

Semwami took to Twitter to thank and say goodbye to Kenya Harlequins, stating that he enjoyed his stay with the Ngong Road-based side.

“Grateful for the time I spent at this great club. It was an honor putting on that Jersey and I loved every bit of it. The management, technical, players and friends made, am grateful for the experience I received, the mentorship. I wish you the best in future. Asante Kenya,”  his statement reads.

The winger joins his counterparts George Scott Oluoch and Aaron Ofoywroth who left Quins to join Ugandan side Heathens. Philip Wokorach also left Kabras for French side Bourges. Semwani came to Kenya in January 2018 after being signed from Rhinos in the mid-season transfer window.
