Kenya Morans thumped Old Miltonians 48-0 in the Zambezi 7s Challenge to book a place in the semifinals of the competition taking place in Harare.

The dominant victory saw the youthful Morans side display flair and precision, with teenager Rayvone Ambale starring in the one-sided affair.

Morans will now face Old Georgians in the semifinals as they look to secure a place in the tournament final at 1:20 p.m. East African Time.

The Morans got off to a flying start when Ambale released a long pass off a scrum to find Floyd Wabwire, who sprinted down the left wing to score the opening try.

Moments later, Ambale turned provider again, this time setting up Chrissant Ojwang for a centre-field try that doubled the lead.

Skipper John Okoth then joined the scoresheet, racing to the right corner after a quick sequence of hands as the Morans took a 17-0 lead into the break.

In the second half, Ambale got his name on the scoresheet with a darting run through the defence, converting his own try to extend the lead. He followed it up with another solo effort, bursting through the middle for his brace.

Substitute Jackson Siketi made an impact from the scrum, setting up Victor Mola, who came off the bench to add more points. Denis Abukuse also crossed the line after a neat link-up with Ambale to take the tally into the 40s.

Old Miltonians’ woes were compounded when they received a yellow card, and the Morans made full use of the numerical advantage to seal the emphatic 48-0 win with a final try.
