The stage is set for an action-packed weekend of rugby as the 2025 Safari 7s kicks off this Friday, 10th October, at Nyayo National Stadium, Nairobi.
The three-day tournament will feature thrilling clashes across both the men’s and women’s categories, with matches running from Friday through Sunday.
Friday will see the women’s teams launch the tournament, with defending champions Costa Blanca Barbarians opening against Mwamba Select at 4:00 p.m. They will be followed by Shogun taking on Kenya Cubs, before Uganda faces Belgium and the Kenya Lionesses battle Tunisia in the last women’s game of the day.
The men’s category will then take centre stage from 5:28 p.m., with Kenya Morans facing ReUnion, followed by Zimbabwe against Apache. Later, Shogun meet KCB Rugby at 6:12 p.m., before Uganda take on Nyati.
The day will close with French Renegades playing UK Select and hosts Kenya Shujaa squaring off with Walukuba Rugby under the Nyayo floodlights.

Saturday will have pool games conclude before final day action on sunday which will feature knockout rounds as teams compete for top honours.
The women’s Main Cup quarterfinals kick off at 8:00 a.m., followed by the men’s quarterfinals starting at 9:28 a.m.
Semifinals begin in the afternoon, with the women’s semis set for 1:08 p.m. and 1:30 p.m., followed by the men’s semis at 1:52 p.m. and 2:14 p.m.
The grand finals will wrap up the 27th edition of the Safari 7s, with the women’s Main Cup final scheduled for 4:26 p.m., and the men’s Main Cup final bringing the curtain down at 4:48 p.m.
Top two teams from each pool and two best third-placed teams in the men’s category will see them book a direct ticket in the quarters while the women category will see all eight teams progress to the quarters despite the results.
