The 2025 Uganda 7s Series concluded last weekend with the Buffaloes 7s at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds, where Heathens defeated Black Pirates 17-10 in a rain-soaked final to claim the last leg of the campaign.
Despite opponents push, it was Walukuba Barbarians who finished the series as overall champions, topping the standings with 129 points after a season marked by dominance and consistency.
Their campaign was anchored by back-to-back tournament victories at the Kabaka 7s and Kyabazinga 7s, where they picked maximum points, along with three runners-up finishes at the Gulu, Rujumba, and Kabale 7s.

Heathens’ Buffaloes 7s triumph ensured they settled for second place overall on 117 points, ahead of Buffaloes who finished on 114 points and Pirates on 109 points, who wrapped up third and fourth place respectively.
Rhinos with 94 points and Kobs 86 completed the top six, while Hippos had 77 points, Eagles accumulated 60 points same to Mongers who had the same points.
Rams on 58, Elgon Wolves 43, and Gulu Falcons 27 followed in the final standings.
