Kabras RFC’s Derrick Ashihundu and Ntabeni Dukisa emerged as standout performers in this season’s Kenya Cup, clinching the top try scorer and top points scorer awards respectively.
Ashihundu, who returned to action after missing the entire 2022/23 season, showcased exceptional form despite featuring in only 38% of the matches.
Despite starting in just four out of his five appearances, Ashihundu made a significant impact, particularly with his try-scoring prowess.

He kicked off his campaign with a stunning four-try performance against Kisumu RFC but was unable to find the score sheet against Nondies.
However, he quickly bounced back with a brace against Catholic Monks, after a substitute taking his tally to six tries in just three appearances.
His standout performance continued as he scored another four tries against Mwamba, bringing his total to 10 tries for the season.

Although he missed some matches due to injury, Ashihundu made a memorable comeback against Kenya Harlequin, adding another try to his name before his injury setback forced him out of action since matchday eight.

Meanwhile, Ntabeni Dukisa showcased his scoring prowess throughout the season, securing the top points scorer accolade.
Dukisa featured in all 13 matches for Kabras RFC this season, impressing with his consistent performances.
He amassed a total of 139 points, with 110 points coming during the regular season.
In the knockout stage, Dukisa continued his impressive form, contributing 29 points as Kabras secured their fourth Kenya Cup title by completing a three-peat.
