Menengai Oilers begun their 2023/2024 Kenya Cup season on a right footing as they outplayed visitors Homeboyz Rugby to win 43-13 in a match staged at the Refinery, Nakuru City.

Homeboyz Rugby were quick off the blocks as they landed two quick unconverted tries to see them lead 10-0 before Menengai Oilers started to find their footing.

As halftime approached, Homeboyz again surrendered their lead as they conceded a third try. It was the big man, Ibrahim Ayoo who crossed the whitewash to put the hosts 17-13 up. Timothy Lugalia added the extras for a 19-13 to ensure his side goes for the breather with a 6-point buffer.
