Impala RFC head coach has named six debutants in his squad that will play the Ngong Road Derby against Kenya Harlequin at RFUEA Grounds on Saturday.
Brian Ochieng leads the front row alongside Trevor Opondo, making his debut after a move from Daystar Falcons, and Tarique Ngige. Tyson Okoth will captain the side from the second row, pairing with Leon Onduso.
Raynold Anduvate earns a starting position on the flank, marking his debut following a move in December, while Victor Imela and Bill Arigi complete the back row combination.
In the backline, David Nyangige, another debutant, starts at scrum-half, linking up with fly-half Gideon Makumi, who also makes his debut after being reunited with coach Loius Kisia from Strathmore Leos. Quinton Ongo, and debutant Sultan Mikael from Strathmore are in the back three alongside Timothy Makiya, who co-captains the team and features on the wing.

The bench includes key impact players such as Jeremy Wire, Milton Omondi, and Madiba Magoya, who is also set to make his debut.
For the ESS, Edgar Obino starts in the front row, supported by Dalvin Mwangi and Onsongo Nyamweya, who captains the team. Eddie Otieno and Eric Kopondo form a strong second-row partnership, while Richard Asante and Boniface Ogot (debutant) feature on the flanks. Robert Ouko anchors the team at number eight.
In the backline, Keith Barasa will direct play from scrum-half, pairing with fly-half Peter Wabwire. George Okowa and Patrick Mutuku, the co-captain, complete the lineup in the back three, adding stability and firepower.
The bench features players such as Wayne Akaranga, Steve Muga, and Collins Kemboi.
