Day One of the second leg of the 2024 Uganda National 7s Series in Mbale delivered exciting action in the pool phase with teams registering mixed results.
In Round Two results Kobs edged Busitema Boons 31-00 while the Warriors managed a 07-00 win over Buffaloes. Hosts Mbale RFC had a tough day as they were hammered 47-07 by Hippos RFC.
Walukuba secured a 19-05 victory over Rams RFC, Black Pirates crashed Njeru Hurricanes 52-00 in a one-sided match.
Buffaloes beat Impis RFC 28-00 and in an exciting encounter as Rhinos secured a 07-05 win over Elgon Wolves, in the last match of round two Heathens defeated Kakira Simbas 26-00.
Kobs booked a place in the quarterfinals as they finished day one of Mbale 7s with a 07-00 win over Mongers thanks to Karim Ainatwe’s try and a conversion by Rasuul Abiriga. Warriors Then defeated Busitema Boons 29-00 while Hippos recorded a 29-19 win over Walukuba Barbarians.

Rams inflicted a 51-00 loss to hosts Mbale Elephants as Black Pirates scored three tries through Haruna Mohammed who scored two tries while Desire Ayera scored the other to help Black Pirates edge out Buffaloes 15-00.
Impis suffered a 00-10 loss to Njeru Hurricanes while Heathens managed a 22-00 win over Rhinos and in the last game of the day Elgon Wolves defeated Kakira Simbas 21-07 to finish the day on a high.
