KSSSA National 15s semi-final pairings

The KSSSA National 15s rugby games are gearing up for the semi-final stage following the conclusion of the group stage matches.

In the first semi-final, defending champions Butula Boys will face off against Kitondo. Butula Boys overcame a slow start, initially securing a draw but then rallying with two consecutive wins to secure their spot in the semis.

On the other hand, Kitondo secured a win against Lenana in the opening match, suffered a loss to Mang’u, but clinched a bonus point victory against Marafa to advance to the last four.

In the second semi-final, Lenana will take on All Saints Embu in a bid to secure a spot in the final. Lenana School emerged as the leaders of Pool B in the KSSSA Nationals with 10 points.

Despite a sluggish start with a loss to Kitondo, they bounced back with a bonus point victory over Marafa and a crucial win against Mang’u, securing their place in the semi-finals.

Mang’u, who were in a favorable position to reach the semis, will miss out after failing to secure a losing bonus against Lenana.

All Saints Embu, Lenana’s opponents in the semi-final, are vying for a spot in the cup final for the second consecutive year, aiming to replicate last year’s success which earned them a place in the 2023 East African games.

Butula had 11 points in the pool while All Saints settled for second place with 10 points after a losing bonus. Kisii finished third with seven points and Marafa got no points.

In Pool B, Lenana had 10 points while Kitondo managed eight points. Mang’u managed eight points in the pool.
