In Kenya Cup week nine, Kabras RFC and KCB Rugby maintained their unbeaten records after overcoming their closest rivals during round 9 action.

Kabras RFC sit comfortably on top of the standings with nine consecutive wins, securing bonus points along the way.

With 45 points accumulated, they have already secured a home semi-final berth, knocking Menengai Oilers out of contention for a direct semi-final spot.

Kabras aim to maintain their top position to enhance their chances of hosting the final.

Meanwhile, KCB Rugby hold the second position with 44 points, having also won all nine matches in the campaign.

Their recent victory against Quins ensured a semi-final spot with two matches remaining, dashing Quins’ hopes for a direct semi-final spot.

Menengai Oilers remain in third place with 33 points, securing a playoff spot but unable to reach more than 43 points.

Quins, also bound for the playoffs, sit on 28 points, with their maximum possible tally for the season being 38.

Nondies’ consecutive victories have propelled them to 23 points, creating a four-point gap between them and Blak Blad, who remain on 19 points.

Mwamba RFC and Nakuru RFC are still in contention for the playoffs, holding 19 and 18 points respectively.

Kenya Cup bottom slots

Strathmore ended their winless streak, reaching 15 points, while Kisumu gained a losing bonus point, moving closer to safety.

Catholic Monks, with only six points, are threatened with relegation and must win their final two matches to stay afloat.

Homeboyz Rugby are also facing relegation threat after accumulating only two points in their campaign.
