Kenya Cup Champions Kabras RFC have been nominated for the 2023 Sportman of the Year Awards (SOYA) scheduled for 23rd of February 2024.
The Sugarmen proved worth after winning the 2022/2023 Kenya Cup title unbeaten alongside the Enterprise Cup and winning the second place title in the National 7s Circuit.
The Club will for the second time feature in the SOYA Awards under the Leadership of Head Coach Carlos Katywa.
Kenya 7s have also been nominated for the award after a great display by beating their long time rivals South Africa 17-12 to win the Africa Men’s cup and also winning the Safari 7s title unbeaten.

Kabras and Shujaa have been nominated alongside football nominees Kakamega Homeboyz team, the Football U18 team Junior Stars and Roll ball.
The main event is scheduled to take place on the 23rd of February 2023 as it intends to honor outstanding achievement in sports by individuals and teams from Kenya and also helps recognize the top athletes, coaches, and teams for their performances over the previous calendar year.
