Kobs down Black Pirates to storm into semi-finals

KOBS staged a comeback to edge out Black pirates 16-13 in the Bankers derby at held at the Legends grounds.

The game started on a high with the visiting side, Black Pirates RFC converting a penalty through Ivan Magomu to give them a 0-3 lead.

After several efforts from the home side KOBS they bagged two penalties which were scored through Joseph Aredo giving them a 6-3 lead.

Moments later Kobs extended their lead through a penalty converted by Josiah Sempeke making matters 9-3.

Black pirates managed a try and a penalty scored by Ivan Magomu from the halfway line making the scores to be 9-13.

Their lead was however shortlived as Josiah sempenke came to the aid of the hosts side with a try which was successfully converted taking the lead of 16-13 at full time.

Kobs entered the game having won all their matches played in pool C comfortably with bonus points and now they head to the semi-finals stage of the Uganda cup with an eye on the finals.
