Kenya Cup Champions Kabras RFC have acquired the services of immediate former Strathmore Leos captain Gabriel Adero.
Adero who has spent the better part of his career at Strathmore has crossed over to Kakamega and made his first club appearance as Kabras defeated Kenya Simbas 25-20 in a friendly match on Thursday.
Kabras new tight head
The former Kenya Under 20 captain started at tight head prop in the match and also has the ability to play as a backrower. Adero captained Kenya U20 during the Africa U20 championships in 2016 and 2017.
In 2017 he received his first Kenya Simbas callup. He joins the Kabras camp to boost their forward department. Former Nakuru RFC prop Mike Mare was also part of the starting squad as he featured as a loosehead prop.

Mare was linked with a move to South Coast Pirates but the move seems to have failed to materialize. Eric Cantona also made his first 15s appearance for the Kabras RFC in the match against Simbas having been part of the 7s campaign.
The Simbas match also saw Steve Olouch mark his return to action after a lengthy absence. Kabras RFC are preparing to face Shamberere in the Lake Victoria Cup quarters at Kakamega Showground on Saturday at 1:PM
Kabras are without 20 of their first-team players heading to the Lake Victoria Cup 15s quarters.
