Nondies secured a final slot in this year’s Impala Floodlit edition after a win against varsity side Blak Blad in a semifinal game which ended 20-14.

Blak Blad opened their scoring with their captain, Steve Odhiambo and Kelvin Gathu added the extra twos. As the hooter for the first half sounded Blad were leading with a 7-0 lead.

After going down to Blad in the first half, Moseti responded with a try at the corner, however, the conversion was not successful as Bruce Odhiambo’s attempt to the goal went wide.

Moseti brings Nondies back

Blad’s worries continued as Kidake Brian was sent to the bin after a high tackle on Nondies player. Nondies took advantage of this and responded with a quick score. Once again it was Moseti who went past the whitewash, bringing Nondies on top for the first time.

Once again Bruce was unlucky with the tee as he didn’t convert bringing the scores to 10-7 in their favor.

That was not enough as once again they came knocking on Blad’s try area this time with Adoyo Salem scored while substitute Calvin Sheunda slotted in the extras.

Nondies late points

Sheunda later added three points from a penalty for a 20-7 lead.  Blad would try to counter Nondies with yet another try from the skipper Odhiambo.

Gathu not having a problem with the tee slotted in the extras. This brought their count to 14. However, this was not enough for them as the referee called it enough for the day.
