The Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) Girls National 15s Rugby Championship has reached the knockout stage, with four teams advancing to the semi-finals following the conclusion of pool matches at The Kisumu National Polytechnic.
After three days of action-packed fixtures, Kinale Girls High, St. Joseph’s Girls, St. Maurice Mwira High, and Mbagathi Road Secondary emerged as the top teams from their respective pools, setting up highly anticipated semi-final clashes.
Kinale Girls High will face Mbagathi Road Secondary in the first semi-final, while St. Joseph’s Girls are set to take on St. Maurice Mwira High in the second encounter.
Kinale head into the knockouts as one of the strongest title contenders after a flawless campaign in Pool A. They won all three of their matches, amassing 15 points and finishing with a staggering +124 points difference, having scored 124 points without conceding.

Their dominant victories, including heavy wins over St. Joseph’s Girls, Paul Harris Girls’, and Sidindi Secondary School, underscored their attacking prowess and defensive discipline.

St. Joseph’s Girls, who finished second in Pool A with 10 points, recovered well after an opening loss to Kinale. They secured emphatic wins over Sidindi Secondary School and Paul Harris Girls’ to comfortably book their place in the semi-finals.
In Pool B, St. Maurice Mwira High matched Kinale’s unbeaten run, winning all their matches to top the standings with 12 points. Their campaign was highlighted by a strong defensive record, conceding just seven points across three matches, including a crucial victory over second-placed Mbagathi Road Secondary on the final day.

Mbagathi Road Secondary secured the second semi-final slot from Pool B with two wins and eight points. Despite falling short against St. Maurice Mwira, they showed resilience throughout the group stage, with key wins over St. Teresa’s Girls and Sigoti Complex Girls proving decisive in their qualification.
Elsewhere, St. Teresa’s Girls finished third in Pool B with one win, while Sigoti Complex Girls placed fourth. In Pool A, Paul Harris Girls’ finished third, with Sidindi Secondary School ending their campaign without a win.
