Menengai Oilers secured a dominant 41–9 victory over Nondescripts RFC in a Kenya Cup clash staged at the Racecourse on Saturday evening, a result that keeps them second on the log.
The visitors carried a 15–3 advantage into the halftime break after a clinical opening half. Kenyan international Daniel Kipchirchir struck just two minutes into the match, crossing over for the opening try.
Kenya 7s star Dennis Abukuse then doubled the lead with a well-taken try to make it 10–0. Nondescripts responded through Fidens Tony, who slotted a penalty to cut the deficit to 10–3.
However, Abukuse returned to the scoresheet in the closing minutes of the half, grabbing his second try to hand the Oilers a 15–3 cushion at the interval.

After the restart, Calvin Sheunda narrowed the gap with a penalty before Kipchirchir completed his brace to extend the Oilers’ lead to 20–6. Sheunda added another three points in the 47th minute, but that would prove to be Nondies’ final score of the evening.
Off the bench, John Okoth made an immediate impact with a try to stretch the margin to 25–9, with Abutwalib Wesonga adding the extras for a 27–9 lead.
Alvin Khavoli then sealed the emphatic win with a brace, both tries converted by Wesonga, as the Oilers powered away to a convincing 41–9 triumph.
