Kabras RFC delivered a commanding performance as they stormed to a 58-0 resounding victory, crossing the whitewash nine times against Daystar in a Kenya Cup round two match in Athi-River.

The sugar millers struck early, with Teddy Akala grounding the opening try off a powerful rolling maul just eight minutes into the match. Eric Cantona added the extras for a 7–0 lead.

Brace for Kabras RFC number 8

In the 18th minute, Patrick Sabatia, slotting in at number eight, powered through the defence to extend Kabras’ advantage to 14–0. Despite being reduced to 14 men after Mike Okello was sent to the sin bin in the 20th minute, Kabras remained in control of the contest.

Sabatia returned to complete his brace in the 32nd minute, closing the half at 19–0 in favour of the defending champions.

Kabras made strategic changes as the second half got underway, and it didn’t take long for the scoring to resume. Akala struck again from a rolling maul, asserting Kabras’ dominance up front.

Cantona then joined the try-scorers’ list, diving over after eight minutes of second-half action before converting his own score to stretch the lead even further.

The floodgates opened as Jeanson Misoga ran in two successive tries to push the tally to 41–0, with the champions showing no signs of slowing down.

The Kakamega-based giants continued to pile on the pressure. They added another converted try before Kenyan Sevens international Kevin Wekesa went over, taking Kabras to 53 points.

Misoga returned late in the match to seal his hat-trick, wrapping up a stellar display as Kabras RFC closed out a dominant outing and moved to 10 points in the league.
