Menengai Oilers produced a breathtaking display as they demolished Impala 97–6, completing a dominant hat-trick of wins over the former giants at Impala Club and underlining their title ambitions.

The Oilers wasted no time asserting control, with Kenyan internationals John Okoth and Denis Abukuse making an immediate impact.

The duo making their first start crossed early to hand the visitors a 12–0 lead. Oilers charge continued as Samuel Mwaura dotted down for 17–0 before Philip Okeyoset up Samuel Were to stretch the advantage to 24–0.

A brilliant solo run from Abukuse opened space for Okoth to grab his second try of the afternoon, pushing the scoreline to 31–3.

Okoth then returned the favour, setting up Omela, who shrugged off two defenders to score, though he missed the conversion.

The Oilers were relentless from the restart, turning the screw once more from a dominant scrum platform to score again. Omela added the extras, and Abutwalib Wesonga closed the half with a converted try for a commanding 59–6 lead at the break.

Okoth sliced through for his third, with Omela drilling in the conversion.

Moments later, a rolling maul delivered another five-pointer, this time finished by Okeyo.

The scrum dominance continued to suffocate Impala, with Celestine Mboi scoring from the base and Wesonga converting.

A moment of sheer flair arrived when Beldad Ogeta broke free, exchanged passes with Okoth in a stylish give-and-go, and finished under the posts.

The rout continued with another scrum try, Wesonga missing the extras, before Ogeta wrapped up the afternoon with his second to cement the emphatic 97–6 victory.
