UK 7s Select have announced their 13-man squad for the 2025 Safari Sevens set to take place from October 10–12 at Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi, Kenya.
The team will be captained by Will Hendy, the rest of the squad features a solid mix of power and pace, including Ryan Apps, Ollie Dawkins, Sam Kildunne, and Ben Burnell.
Ben Burnell, is a 22-year-old Welsh fly-half who currently plays for Jersey Reds in England. Standing at 1.88m and weighing 90kg, Burnell brings valuable experience and playmaking ability, having previously featured for Cardiff Rugby and represented Wales U20 in the U20 Six Nations Championship.
Ollie Dawkins, a 23-year-old English fullback, brings top-flight experience to the UK 7s Select side. Dawkins currently plays for Ampthill Rugby in England’s RFU Championship. He has previously featured for Wasps and represented England U20 in the U20 Six Nations Championship.

Fin Lloyd-Gilmour, Marcus Kershaw, and Lochie Lawson, Lloyd Wilkins, McCauley Rowley, and Oli Chandler-Sullivan are also part of the team.
Tom Burton and Ben Charnock complete the 13-man squad as the UK 7s Select aim to make an impression at the 2025 Safari Sevens.
The UK 7s select will face competition in the men’s category from teams such as Zimbabwe, Zambia, Shogun, French Renegades, Kenya Shujaa, Kenya Morans, Apache Rugby, Reunion, Uganda Men, KCB RFC, and Walukuba Barbarians (Uganda).
