This year’s event marks the second leg of the competition, following the first leg held on May 24 at Kyadondo Rugby Club in Kampala, where Kenya Legends edged Uganda Legends 19-17 in a tight contest. The win added to Kenya’s growing dominance in the annual veterans’ rugby showdown.

Kenya Legends have been in impressive form, having claimed both legs in 2024—winning 24-15 at the RFUEA Grounds and 26-15 in Kampala, sealing a 50-30 aggregate triumph.

This followed a 69-18 aggregate victory in 2023, extending their winning streak to four straight victories over their Ugandan rivals.
