Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) has announced a vacancy for the position of Team Manager for the Kenya Sevens National Team, inviting applications from qualified, experienced, and passionate individuals to take up the critical role.
According to an official statement issued by KRU, the union is seeking an individual to ensure the effective overall management of the Kenya Sevens team
“The Kenya Rugby Union is desirous of filling the position of the Team Manager, Kenya Sevens National Team. The person engaged shall be reporting to the Director of Rugby or Chief Executive Officer, through the Head Coach for effective overall management of the Kenya Sevens Team,” read part of the statement.
The Team Manager will play a vital role in the smooth running of the national sevens side, overseeing logistics, administration, budgeting, and general team operations both locally and internationally. The manager will work closely with the Head Coach to ensure that players and staff receive the necessary support to achieve optimal performance on and off the field.

To be considered, applicants must hold at least a KCSE certificate, diploma, or degree, demonstrate fluency in English and Kiswahili, and possess proficiency in basic computer programs for data management and word processing. A minimum of three years’ experience managing a team at club or national level is required, and applicants must be Kenyan citizens holding Rugby Ready, Safeguarding, and Laws certificates.
Among the key responsibilities listed are coordinating logistics for training, matches, travel, and accommodation, liaising between the technical staff and KRU officials, managing databases, and assisting with visa processes and disciplinary matters.
KRU emphasized that applications should be submitted via email to info@kru.co.ke with the subject line “TEAM MANAGER KENYA SEVENS”, no later than midnight on 21st July 2025.
