Kenya Harlequin end winless run with convincing triumph over 14- man South Coast Pirates

Kenya Harlequin ended their four-match winless streak in the Kenya Cup with a dominant 43-14 victory over South Coast Pirates at the Seacrest.

Heading into this match, Harlequins had suffered losses to Nondies, KCB Rugby, and Kabras RFC twice, and they were determined to break their streak in a tough venue where only Kabras RFC had won.

The match saw Lucky Dewald score the opening try, with Faran Juma converting for a 7-0 lead.

Brighton Omondi was sent off with a red card for a dangerous tackle, marking his second red card of the season.

Pirates conceded shortly after his exit, with Sheldon Kahi scoring a try, which Juma successfully converted.

Two minutes before halftime, Leonard Fogang landed the third try for Quins, taking the score to 24-0.

The second half saw Dennis Njaguru come off the bench to score a try for Pirates, which was converted by Moses Forore, making the score 24-7.

Mathew Ouma responded for Harlequins with a try, which Juma converted to make it 31-7.

Antony Abonyo drilled in a penalty for Pirates, bringing them to 10 points, but again, Dave Mwangi helped Quins pull away with a try, converted by Juma.

Fogang completed his brace before Pirates scored a converted try.

The loss leaves South Coast Pirates with eight points, having won just two of their nine matches.
