The second leg of the World 7s Series took place in Cape Town, with the top two positions on the standings remaining unchanged despite Fiji and Spain missing out on the final.
Fiji, the Dubai 7s champions, finished third in Cape Town, earning 16 points to bring their total to 36. They remain at the top of the standings. Spain, who finished second in Dubai and fourth in Cape Town, picked up 14 points in the South African leg. Their combined tally of 32 points keeps them in second place.

Olympic champions France climbed to third in the standings with 30 points after finishing as runners-up in Cape Town. Having won the final tournament in Madrid earlier in the season, France earned 18 points in Cape Town to add to their growing tally.
Hosts South Africa delivered a stunning performance at home, defeating France in the Cape Town final to claim 20 points, also moving them to 30 points and sharing points with France.
Argentina, last season’s league phase winners, sit fifth with 28 points, while New Zealand occupies sixth place with 24 points. Great Britain and Australia are tied on 12 points each, sharing seventh place.

Kenya 7s showed significant improvement in Cape Town, securing a seventh-place finish after a 32-17 victory over Great Britain in the playoffs. This result moved them up to ninth place in the standings with 11 points. Uruguay follows in 10th place with six points, while the USA and Ireland have four and three points, respectively, rounding out the bottom positions.
With two legs complete, the series promises more excitement as teams battle for supremacy in the upcoming tournaments.
