2024/25 Kenya Cup standings ahead of christmas break

The Kenya Cup season heads into a four-week break after an eventful third round of matches, which significantly impacted the standings.

Dominant performances by the top three sides – Kabras RFC, KCB Rugby, and Menengai Oilers – have shaped the league narrative heading into the festive period.

Kabras RFC delivered a historic performance, scoring a club Kenya Cup record of 137 points against visiting Kisumu RFC.

The emphatic victory closed the points differential gap with KCB Rugby and propelled Kabras to the top of the standings.

The reigning champions now have 15 points, having won over 30 consecutive matches in a remarkable streak.

KCB Rugby also boast 15 points after an impressive start to the season, marked by commanding wins over South Coast Pirates, Kisumu RFC, and Strathmore Leos in the Jerry Olola Cup.

Despite matching Kabras in points, KCB trail on point differential heading into the break.

Menengai Oilers have maintained their stellar form, securing 15 points with victories over Kisumu RFC, Strathmore Leos, and Mwamba RFC.

They sit third due to point differential but remain in close contention.

Kenya Harlequin hold fourth place with 14 points after narrowly missing a bonus point in one of their matches.

Nondescripts have climbed to fifth with 13 points, overtaking Blak Blad, who fell to sixth after their unbeaten start ended with a loss to Quins. Blak Blad remain on 10 points following two wins.

Impala RFC are among the biggest climbers, moving up to seventh with five points.

Strathmore Leos occupy eighth with a single point, while Nakuru RFC, Mwamba RFC, South Coast Pirates, and Kisumu RFC are yet to register any points.

The Kenya Cup action resumes in the new year, with fans eagerly anticipating how the top teams will maintain their form in the second phase of the season.
