Kenya Lionesses player Moreen Muritu says she is proud of their achievements this year
Taking her X account, Muritu expressed her pride in her team, the Lionesses, for what they have achieved this year and thanked their technical team for their support throughout the tournaments.
“Proud of everything we have achieved as Kenya lionesses this year. A testament of hard work, dedication and unity. A huge thank you to our technical team for the expertise and support throughout tournaments, I couldn’t have done it without you,” she stated.

She also called upon their supporters for their passion and sacrifice towards women’s rugby while also encouraging her fellow players as they prepare for the challenger series.
“Huge shout out to all our supporters for your unwavering passion and sacrifice to women’s rugby. Your encouragement makes all the difference. A massive milestone as we also qualified for the challenger series; pathway to the HSBC series next year. Let’s make the most of this chance and keep pushing forward,” she added.
Kenya Lionesses finished second in the Rugby Africa Women’s 7s booking a place in the 2025 Challenger Series which will determine who qualifies for the 2026 World Svns Series.
