Kenya Lionesses have booked their place in the semifinals of the ongoing Rugby Africa Women’s 7s after they defeated hosts Ghana 48-0 in Accra.

Kenya Lionesses scored first through Grace Adhiambo. Minutes later they extended their lead after Sharon Auma did well to evade her markers to ground the ball in the corner.

The Lionesses continued to pile more miseries to the hosts after Grace Adhiambo got her brace scoring under the uprights. Mokaya did well with the conversion to take the scores to 17-0.

Sheila Chajira crossed the whitewash to give Kenya fourth try just before the halftime. Sinaida Mokaya converted the try to give Lionesses a 24-0 lead.

EDITOR’S PICKS:

The Lionesses, who looked like they’d found answers to a team they beat only 10-5 on day one, picked up from where they left in the first stanza as they added four more tries in the second half to win the game 48-0.

Sharon Auma got her brace in the opening minutes of the second half with Grace Adhiambo landing her hat trick minutes later. Substitute Fresha Odour grabbed a double late in the game to give the Lionesses a huge win.
