Vihiga High, Chavakali, Nyang’ori unbeaten on day 1 in Vihiga County 7s

Vihiga High School kicked off their Vihiga County 7s title defence on a high note, winning their opening two matches at Esalwa Boys.

Coached by Abubakar Abdalla, Vihiga started their campaign with a commanding 29-0 victory over Gamalenga. In their second match, they showcased their dominance by defeating Ebubayi 59-0.

The Scrummage Katch 7s champions are now in a strong position to advance to the knockout stage.

Their arch-rivals, Chavakali, also enjoyed a successful start, winning their first two matches. They secured a 21-7 victory over Hobunaka in their opening match and followed it up with a 29-5 win against hosts Esalwa.

Nyangori also maintained a 100% win record in the group stages, defeating Ebusiloli 12-5 and adding a 31-0 win over Ebulonga.
