Kenya, South Africa, Uganda, and Madagascar secured their places in Sunday’s Africa Men’s 7s quarterfinals with a match to spare after winning their second-round matches at Labourdonnais Stadium in Port-Louis on Saturday.
Kenya Morans raced for five unconverted tries to remain unbeaten, defeating Nigeria 25-0. This marked their second match without conceding any points.
Kenya Morans opener
Amon Wamalwa beat the defence, broke clear, and released an inside pass to Edmund Anya, who scored a centre post try for a 5-0 lead.
Just before the break, Benson Salem grabbed the second try, bringing the score to 10-0 at halftime in a first half that had several stoppages.
A switch in play saw Denis Abukuse score the first try of the second half, stretching Kenya’s lead. Salem continued to excel, outwitting his opposite marker and landing Kenya’s fourth try of the match and his fourth for the tournament.

Makis and Morans will face off in a pool A decider later on Saturday.
Uganda Cranes booked their place in the quarters with a convincing 43-0 victory over Tunisia in their second match. Uganda led 17-0 at halftime and added 26 points in the final half to move to six points.
