Kabras RFC utility back Mathias Osimbo has undergone surgery after sustaining an Achilles injury while training with the Kenya Simbas.
The Kenya Simbas confirmed the news through their official social media page, sharing an update on Osimbo’s condition from the hospital.
“Wishing Mathias Osimbo a quick recovery following surgery owing to an injury sustained after the Simbas camp last week. Our Team Manager Jimmy Mnene passed by the hospital to check up on him this morning,” the Kenya Simbas announced.

Osimbo, who previously featured for the Kenya U20 team, had become a regular starter for Kabras RFC in the recently concluded season.
He consistently appeared in the starting lineup until his season was abruptly cut short after matchday eight against Kenya Harlequin, which was the club’s 150th match.
Due to the surgery, Osimbo is expected to miss the 2024 July International window. He was among the 14 players who were aiming to make their debut for the Kenya Simbas.
