Maseno School’s rugby team asserted their dominance in the Kisumu West Sub County 7s games, securing a spot in the forthcoming Kisumu County School games.
The Wazimba showed impeccable performance throughout, clinching victory in every match with remarkable margins.

They began their campaign by defeating Chulaimbo with a commanding score of 45-00. Subsequently, Maseno overwhelmed Obede with an astounding 94-00 victory, followed by a resounding 40-00 win over Kuoyo.
Their dominance reached its pinnacle as they whipped St. Gabriels with an emphatic 77-00 triumph.
. Alongside Maseno, Kuoyo and St. Gabriels also secured qualification, finishing second and third, respectively, thereby earning the right to represent their Sub County in the County School games.

With aspirations to surpass their previous season’s achievements, Maseno School, having finished second in the 2023 Nyanza Region qualifiers for the National School games, are determined to elevate their game and clinch top honors.
Coach Sebastian Makalek who was part of the coaching staff which led the side to the Nationals last year exuded confidence in the team’s ability to maintain their stellar performance in 7s rugby as they advance to the next stage of competition.
