SC Pirates defeated Mean Machine 15-3 to maintain their impressive form in a KRU Championship match day 4 fixture staged at UoN grounds
The action kicked off with a bang as pirates were awarded a penalty try after Mean Machine were punished for an infringement,the hosts would moments later reduce the deficit with a well-struck penalty to take scores to 07-03.
Kelly Akeng’o would extend SC Pirates lead to 10-3 after he booted a penalty making sure that the visitors go for the breather in control of the proceedings.
A halftime pep talk from Kevin Amiani saw Pirates coming back a rejuvenated side, new kid Kelly Akengo dancing past hapless Machine defense to land his first try of the season, 03-15.

Mean Machine, on the other hand, struggled to break through the solid defense put up by the Pirates. Despite showing resilience, they were limited to a lone penalty kick, and the South Coast Pirates’ defense remained unyielding throughout the match.
