SC Pirates too strong for Mean Machine

SC Pirates defeated Mean Machine 15-3 to maintain their impressive form in a KRU Championship match day 4 fixture staged at UoN grounds

The action kicked off with a bang as pirates were awarded a penalty try after Mean Machine were punished for an  infringement,the hosts would moments later reduce the deficit with a well-struck penalty to take scores to 07-03.

Kelly Akeng’o would extend SC Pirates lead to 10-3 after he booted a penalty making sure that the visitors go for the breather in control of the proceedings.

A halftime pep talk from Kevin Amiani saw Pirates coming back a rejuvenated side, new kid Kelly Akengo dancing past hapless Machine defense to land his first try of the season, 03-15.

The Pirates continued their onslaught with a series of remarkable plays, and the trio of Cliphod Ronald, Gilbert Ochieng and Newton Okeyo displayed their prowess

Mean Machine, on the other hand, struggled to break through the solid defense put up by the Pirates. Despite showing resilience, they were limited to a lone penalty kick, and the South Coast Pirates’ defense remained unyielding throughout the match.

Pirates will host Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology-MMUST in the next fixture in Diani.
